Prada

On Ice

Visual Merchandising
2021

Prada launched their "Prada On Ice" collection exclusively at the SKP Atrium in Beijing on September 1. In response to the upcoming 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the collection was inspired by the vibrancy of winter sports, but with a modern and iconic twist. In addition to skis, snowboards, and snowshoes, the collection included high-performance accessories with Prada's signature style, such as ski goggles, ski boot bags, and sleeping bags.

The timeline of the project was only four weeks. My role in this project was to execute the final display in collaboration with the VM team based on the guidelines and CAD diagrams provided.

Mockup

The pop-up area is designed to look like an ice hockey rink, with red and blue graphics darting across white partitions and a LED strip showing rolling Prada logos as if on a scoreboard. Stadium stands are transformed into a functional space for customers, and a bobsleigh platform is transformed into a show floor.

Exhibition Outcome

Mannequins have been reconfigured into athletic poses to highlight the specific assortment, which includes sports equipment like skis, snowboards, sledges, and snowshoes; equipment like ski goggles, ski boot luggage, and sleeping luggage; and efficiency clothes like oversize patterned polyester jackets, double-printed jersey outfits, and mountain-inspired cashmere sweaters.
